About Me and Mine:

Hi there, my name is Maggie Nyren.  I’m a stay at home mom and a partner in a family run Pawn shop business.  For over 20 years I have been raising our four children aged 23 to 12, homeschooling them, running them around, feeding and nurturing them, as well as being a, do I say, wonderful wife to my husband of almost 25 years.  My husband is 18 years my senior and was a total bachelor when I got a hold of him.   And anyone who says you can’t train an old bachelor needs to meet my husband.  He has turned out to be a wonderful father, husband and provider for this family.  Nothing is more important to him than his family, and I adore him for that.  Now don’t get me wrong, he isn’t perfect.  First of all, he’s a Nyren (one of 9 children), a Taurus, a Yankee, Irish, Catholic, and a MAN.  But with all that against him, he’s mine, and I “Can’t Help Loving that Man of Mine”.

We have four wonderful children, what mother wouldn’t say that, but mine are truly wonderful and a Joy!  Our oldest is Jerry and a  junior to his dad.  He’s a recent graduate of University of Florida in, get this, Nuclear Engineering.  And he is currently applying with the U.S. Navy!!  Jerbear is a loyal, kind, generous son, who is quick to anger at injustice, and thrives on talking cars and politics with his father.  He loves hanging with his friends and family, with a special bond with his youngest sibling, who I’ll tell you about in a moment.  Now John, aka John John is my number 2 child and son.  John John is a lovable, sweet, very talented bear of a man.  He’s currently a senior at UF, going into Computer Science.  He has a melodic singing voice, and loves singing A Capella at UF with a group called Tone Def.  Some people would say he needs to go into music, I think it would be cool if he could find a way to mix these two talents!  John also loves hanging with his friends and family, and has always been his cousins’ favorite Cuz.  He’s just pure fun!  My first daughter is Molly, aka Moses!  Moses is incredible!  She’s a Sophomore at UF, and has her sights set very High!  She  has a 4.0 gpa, and almost went ballistic when she thought one of her A’s was gonna be an A minus.  Her work ethic is unbelievable, and her mouth is ear piercingly loud!  John John said once he can hear her all the way across Walmart.  But it helps her to be heard, and she has a lot to say!  Moses is stubborn, driven, beautiful, quick with a laugh, and has a very spiritual heart that keeps her focused on all that she has going on, from studying, to volunteering at a women’s clinic, to singing in the Christmas musical at her church.  Brag much?  Last but in no way the least is my baby girl…Sarah, aka Lil Sarah or Lil Seiba.  Lil Sarah is named after my twin sister, whom I adore infinitely, so it was only right to name my baby girl after her!  Lil Sarah is quite the enigma!  She can do anything and everything.  She loves to dance, and has been dancing since she was four, she’s 12 now.  She does pointe ballet, tap, and jazz.  Jazz is her favorite, I think it’s because it’s more giving and free, like her spirit.  She hates math, but is very good at it when she applies herself.  She can kick her Dad’s butt at dominoes.  And, her oldest brother Jerbear adores her, and they are constantly playing computer games, in which, she at least half the time, kicks his butt too.  Jerbear respects her immensely for it, and is quick to brag about her to his friends!  Sarah could be my best friend, if I wasn’t her mother.  We love hanging out with each other, even if we’re doing nothing.  Her heart is pure and she has an wonderful sense of humor and her knowledge retention is crazy!

As you can tell, I adore my family.  I could write a novel about my love for them.  And don’t get me started on my extended family, they Rock too!
